This is an alternative version of another report: Turnover Rate by Dewey Class
This version better handles call numbers with explicitly defined fields (prefix, classification number) as opposed to having all of the information in the prefix or classification number. This allows for more detailed prefix statistics at the expense of excluding items with improperly formatted call numbers.
Below is the description from the other version of this report.
This report shows basic circulation turnover information based on the Dewey classification number, broken down by groups of 100. Circulation data for the previous year, the current year and for the lifetime of the items that belong to a particular dewey class are reported. It is not currently possible to provide data for more arbitrary time periods. If an item has been withdrawn, that data will NOT be included on the report.
This report could be helpful for spotting large trends and then SimplyReports can be used to hone in on specific items that might need weeded from a section or collection.
