Titles with Multiple Copies Grouped by Title

CLICK THE BLUE PATH LINK TO RUN THE REPORT: Custom > ~Tech Services > Titles with Multiple Copies Grouped by Title

Displays a list of titles for the specified branch that have at least as many items as the ‘minimum item count’ parameter. Items must be available before the specified date and can be excluded by item status and/or collection. When counting items for determining which titles should display on the report only the branch and status is used, not the first available date parameter nor collections.

This report could be helpful in weeding items when a library is short on shelf space in a particular area.

This is great, Mike!

But it’s showing all the collections instead of just the ones I selected.

I think this should be fixed; it was related to collections only being on items, not bibs, and trying to determine which bibs “belong” to which collection. I’ve tweaked my “does this bib have this collection” bit of code to only look at the selected branch’s items which should mostly resolve the issue, though it’ll likely never be 100% perfect.

Looks like it’s working now. Thanks, Mike!

@mfields Is there a way to alphabetize by title and exclude articles (The, An, A , etc.) at beginning of titles?

Mike Fields

I’ve switched the report to use the bib’s sort title and author instead of the browse title and author which should take care of that issue.
